Buying in the Neighborhood - Edition Sixteen (16)

May has been more than a busy month, but it has been a stellar and fabulous one as well.  Glitz and glamour everywhere.  Several businesses have many things going on and around.  I have to do a shout out to Fashion Arizona and Brian Hill, the founder and main organizer.  He has taken fashion up so many notches here in Arizona, if you aren't part of his following and you like fashion, you should definitely get connected.  You will always have a great time at his events, meet some spectacular designers and just see the type of class act that his organization is.  Brian's next event is at the Musical Instrument Museum - 4725 East Mayo Boulevard, Phoenix, AZ.  This event is going to rock and roll literally.  If you haven't visited this museum you should definitely take the time to see the website and see all that is there.  It will take two to three visits really to make your way around and then you will probably have to go back just to make sure you didn't miss anything.

There's lots of companies bringing their talents to the table.  And that brings me to another topic that I will be speaking about often and with great passion.  The last article I wrote about discussed local charities and giving back to the community.  Well, I was fortunate enough to attend an event at a very special location that is going to grow.  Little did I know what I was walking into until it was too late, but all for good reasons (I know you were thinking I was going to say something negative - WRONG!).  And those good reasons are far too many to list, however, I will try to summarize briefly, what the experience was and the direction this will be going.  You know when you have the itch to do something big and grand and like no one has ever dreamed?  How do you do that, you wonder?  Well it's through seeing your dream and making it a reality, right?  Easier said than done is what you hear normally.  Well this event went way beyond thinking about dreams and reality, it pushed you to be challenged to see within yourself the power that you have to make a difference by not only being you and utilizing your talent beyond what you have ever known, but by also collaborating and reaching out to others to make an even bigger difference.

How do you do this you ask?  You create a community of talented professionals that are invested in themselves and then you add a little business, love, location, relationships, intelligence, training, speakers, opportunities, students, interns, believers, and more and what do you come up with - bSmart Networking, Management & Development Center at 2727 W. Glendale Ave, Suite 100, Glendale, AZ 85051.  Mechelle Tucker and Nakia Walker have partnered up to not only celebrate their friendship but also their vision and mission to help others.  You can see the love they have for the community and how the community is reaching back to them.  Monday's event was a pure demonstration of ability and creativity brought to a mutual balance that is as solid as a rock but is full of potential and greatness.  The community of talent professionals they are surrounded with that generously support the efforts of the community, business and society in general is large.  They are going to touch not only the community but the world.  Their desire is to help not only professionals in business but to set a pattern of teaching and training for youths that will enable them to be empowered to be productive and effective in society all the while encouraging their passions and what they love to do so that they can have a balanced life and be able to operate in society today.  If you want more information about the center contact Mechelle Tucker at mechelle@azpowernetworking directly.

I don't know if you caught I hadn't mentioned what the topic was.....well, I was hoping that through the story told you might be able to figure it out.  It has to do with EMPOWERMENT and how you become powerful with that.  It's not about control or being first, it is about doing what you do with power and conviction and a driven passion that makes you do everything well and that people see it through what you do, how you talk and share that message, your message.  There will be more to come.  I hope you will stay tuned for more.  The wave is just beginning and here we go for another wild ride.
