Buying in the Neighborhood - Edition Nine (9)

Talk about a crazy few weeks.  So many events and so many activities going on in Arizona.  The weather hasn't decided how its going to be...so let the rain fall where it may, but I'm looking forward to the end of this month and the beginning of next month.  For so many reasons of course, too many to list, except for the one big note, my birthday is on March 10th and I am hosting a blow out party on Friday, March 11th at the "White House"!!!!!  You heard me, loud and clear, yes, my party is at the "White House" in Scottsdale, Arizona http://www.whitehousescottsdale.com/.  You didn't know there was a White House here in Arizona......well SURPRISE!!!!!!!!  So there will be many friends, associates, bodyguards, possible limo, and fashion galore present at this event.  The next door neighbors "Dos Gringos" may need to be ready for some overflow, because its going to go down that Friday.

I'm graciously being accommodated by a lovely group called Fashion Arizona, http://www.meetup.com/fashionarizona/.  Check them out too.  They had a fabulous MeetUp in February that totally rocked for those jewelry and handbag lovers out there.  I almost went into comatose with all the bling and flash and glamour that was there at Just Jane Boutique http://www.justjaneboutique.com/
which hosted the event.  Several other vendors were there, but you can't beat the fashion, glitz and show that happens at these events.  I highly recommend participating even if only to see for yourself what this is all about.  More events are happening all over the valley and now that the weather is starting to turn, the volume is going to go up and the events are just going to keep getting better and better.

How one can get bored here in Arizona is very questionable to me....there is so much life and so many booming quality businesses offering so much to the population.  You could get lost in it all and still never see everything that there is to see.  I just hope that I have that chance to see it all....  why not make that a goal to get out and find out and seek out all those things you never have done but wanted to.  No one is stopping you, I completely support that effort and along the way, you'll find things that you never knew existed in your own neighborhood.  If you even just checked a five mile radius you would be surprised at all the local businesses that are around that offer things you like.

So stay tuned for more details and more updates and more to come.  This is still only the beginning of 2011 and I said it first that this year was going to rock....and so far so good.  So don't forget the most important date and event of the year, but my birthday in March 10.  Hey, don't give me a hard time....I got to promote and along the way find fashion with http://www.meetup.com/fashionarizona/ Fashion Arizona, pick up that jewelry and handbag from Just Jane Boutique http://www.justjaneboutique.com/ and then meet everyone at the White House in Scottsdale http://www.whitehousescottsdale.com/.  See you there or totally be square...catch you next time on the next edition of Buy in Arizona Campaign Blog...... http://buyinarizonacampaign.blogspot.com/

Buying in the Neighborhood - Edition Eight (8)

Is it cold out there or what?  Wow, surely Arizona will start to warm up soon.  I got a huge birthday bash I am planning for March and we will be through the middle of February in about a week and a half and if the weather doesn't start looking up soon, no outdoor parties here!  I know those patio locations here and other outdoor venues are hurting but give it some time, the heat will be back and it will be with a vengeance as they often say.  So now that it is clear indoor activities are the best right now, one of my most favorite involves relaxing with your eyes closed and letting someone else do all the work.

Get your mind out of the gutter!!!!  I was talking about a spa and relaxation treatment commonly referred to as a MASSAGE.  You thought this was going to be a special story didn't you....well it is.  Because Arizona is a destination location for many things and we do have lots of sun, fun, and activities, we also have lots of places you can go to enjoy the spa treatments, such as facials, salons, manicures, pedicures.  You name it, you can find it.   One thing however which is extremely personal is that massage.  Why you ask, because if you plan to have a really good massage, you often don't just go anywhere or just let anyone give you a massage.  There are many reasons for this, probably too many to mention, but needless to say, you want to find a masseur or masseuse, as they are often called, that understands your needs, your triggers for your muscle pains, sensitive spots on your back, shoulder, arms, legs, neck, or whereever.  I have been fortunate and not so fortunate at times to run across individuals that sometimes understand how to give a good massage, but they are few and far between.  I do know one individual (http://mmimassage.com/default.aspx) that I would highly recommend and they don't even claim to be the best or try to pull that ego trip on you, their main purpose and sole desire really is to help others through their gifted talent of providing you relief, relaxation, and improvement to your body mechanics through the course of massage.

Me, Myself & I. Massage Therapy by Don

Don Bearham of Me, Myself & I (http://mmimassage.com/default.aspx), is a perfect example of someone who actually cares about what he does.  He might not claim to be the best in the universe, but he works to be the best he can be.  Doing massages is not just about making a living but it is a way of life for Don.  I asked Don directly to tell me what makes him different from others.  I'd like to provide a excerpt from a discussion he shared with me,

"I believe it’s about balance, tolerance and awareness and not about any quick fix that is being sold on TV or by the giant Pharmaceutical companies. However what I try and do is create a flow and whether that is blood, lymph or energy I really don’t mind. I think that the body is b****y marvelous and given a chance to work at its optimal level can cure itself of a lot of problems." Don Bearham, 1/29/2011.

I don't think I could have said that better myself.  Truly, Don is gifted and tries to help those who come in contact with him.  He delivers through his massage more than just the relief and relaxation you might be seeking, but his passion for his calling comes across.  If only everyone could be so passionate about what they do everyday and how they live their life.  I highly recommend the services of Don Bearham of Me, Myself & I (http://mmimassage.com/default.aspx).  Please check out their facebook page as well - http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Me-Myself-I-Massage-Therapy-by-Don/119125364813686?v=wall
