Buying in the Neighborhood - Edition Thirteen (13)

Hello Arizona!  Have you ever dreamed of something that you really wanted to do that maybe not everyone you know would understand?  Have you ever wanted to pursue something that to most they would never think of doing?  Are you talented in such a way that you just want to share your talent and skills with others because you know they will benefit from what you do?  If you have thought about any of these ideas or said to yourself why I can’t I make a change, then this article is for you.  Besides the New Year, spring time is also a time for new beginnings.
This week’s feature article is about one such person that has taken her dreams and made them a long standing reality using her many talents and skills.  Christian Acosta owner and founder of Dalica Designs (http://www.dalicadesigns.com)

has mixed her passions, pleasures, and joy all into one lovely design of a company that helps fulfill those special needs for things such as jewelry, floral, event planning, b-dazzling and so much more.  Christian has evolved her company over time to stay current with the trends but at the same time making her mark as a very special unique designer that gives a personal touch to everything she does.   Her vision of beauty can almost not be described.  She looks to the several temples of nature such as wind, fire, rain, and earth to create her designs.  Christian is inspired by the views that surround her and especially the desert which have given her a tremendous canvas to create from.  She designs her jewelry and floral so that it’s like an explosion of color, emotion, passion, desire, and joy all wrapped to individually fit your needs.  Christian takes from other artistry work and her product is truly an art form.
How did Christian get here you ask?   That’s a good question.  It was as simple as her just deciding that she wanted to do something on her own.  She worked in the banking industry for a number of years, but her passion called to her and because she was raised understanding what it means to business networking and develop relationships, she was able to find the support she needed through some close friends to begin her venture.  Christian started with the floral designs combined with event planning and expanded to the latest offering of jewelry and has come up with another unique offering of b-dazzling hair for all occasions or those that very special.  Her innovation and skills to take what she knows and her passion and to convert it to a revenue-generating business it what it is about in the year 2011 and go forward.  If you want to be an entrepreneur, now is the time, the energy is there, the people to support you exist and there are many flavors of activities or areas you can pursue.  Christian has been in business since 1997 and is very well established.  Her products are currently marketed in Arizona, California, New York, and now Nevada.  Christian has made her mark and is definitely someone you would want to meet.  You can reach Christian Acosta at 480-235-9909, http://www.dalicadesigns.com , E-mail:  dalicaflowers@gmail.com or Christian.stevensacosta@gmail.com .

Here’s a little bit of history and information about AZ Power Networking.  When Fabien Bertault moved from New York to Arizona in late 2002, he had to establish a new network of friends and business partners in his new environment. He decided to launch Power Networking in April 2003 to create a forum for local businesses to connect, promote community ties and explore opportunities. The group quickly grew and attracted many successful business owners and entrepreneurs. Within a year, encouraged by the rising attendance at monthly meetings, Fabien created a guest speaker series that would inspire his membership and provide valuable business advice. To date, Arizona Power Networking has featured influential business leaders such as Scott Kirby, President of US Airways; Bradley Casper, former CEO of Henkel USA, Michael Crow, President of ASU and Albert Leffler, co-founder of Ticketmaster, Sharon Lechter, co-founder of Rich Dad, Poor Dad.
Today, Power Networking counts 5 thriving groups in the Phoenix area (Scottsdale, Ahwatukee, Central Phoenix, West Valley and Southeast Valley) and chapters in San Diego and Paris. Openings are scheduled in Denver, Austin, Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York in 2011. All meetings are held in luxurious settings and provide a unique forum for business leaders and entrepreneurs to connect both locally and globally.
